Brian Janke (2006) — Finished the 3/2 program at the University of Buffalo (B.S. in electrical engineering, 2007). He is working at Whirlpool Appliances in Saint Joseph, Michigan. As part of his employment package, Brian will be pursuing a M.S.E.E. at the University of Michigan starting in Fall 2008.

Silvy Murphy (2001) — When she came to Buffalo State, Silvy had already earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Cornell (1987) and a J.D. from Franklin Pierce Law Center. Silvy had worked as a Law Guardian, serving children in NY State, and more recently as a solo practicing Patent Attorney in Cary, NC. Silvy died unexpectedly at age 43 in 2009.
Shannon Seneca (2001) — In 2011, Shannon is a Ph.D. candidate at UB in the Department of Civil, Structural, and Environmental Engineering, having recently accepted a National Science Foundation IGERT traineeship in the department’s new ERIE program in ecosystem restoration. She is studying the removal of Stintium-90 from groundwater. She recieved a M.S. in Civil Engineering from UB in 2006.
Joel Fridmann (2001) — Received a M.S. in Physics from Florida State University, doing research in nuclear physics. While in graduate school, Joel published an article in Nature: Fridmann, J. et al. Nature 435, 922-924 (2005).
Jermaine Kennedy (1998,1999) — Graduated in physics in 1998 and in secondary education in 1999. Jermaine finished a Ph.D. at University of Southern Florida. His research is in experimental solid state and optics.
Dave Graf (1999) — Received a Ph.D. in Physics from Florida State University (2005). He is working at the magnet laboratory there as the first Jack Crow post-doctoral fellow.
Joe Karnath (1999) — Received M.S.Ed. from the University at Buffalo in Science Education. Now teaching Earth Science at Hamburg High School.

Mike Liona (1997) — Working as a senior project engineer for Hatch Mott MacDonald in Milburn, New Jersey. Mike does structural design of steel frames, tunnels, bridges for a variety of clients, including government agencies and private companies. In 2006, his work took him to Suriname.

Hans Koppenhoffer (1996) — Finished the 3/2 program in civil engineering and is currently employed by an engineering firm in the southwest.
Joel Stuckey (1995) — Currently working at Northrop Grumman. After he left Buffalo State he went to Argonne National Laboratory and then received a masters degree from Northwestern University.

Mark Niedziela (1988) — After getting his B.S. from Buffalo State, Mark worked as an engineer for over a decade, Since 1999, he has been the Director of Technology at Saint Francis High School in Buffalo. Niedziela is considering returning to Buffalo State to get an M.S. in physics in education.

Ronald Kelly (1988) — Graduated in physics and later got a Ph.D. in Solid State Physics from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. Ron is the co-founder and CEO of Gecko Energy Industries. Ron is a Motorola Distinguished Innovator, holding more than 20 patents.

Robert Hutteman (1987) — In 1989, Bob earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University at Buffalo. Bob is now president of Lu Engineers, a company with 40 employees in Rochester, N.Y.
Thomas Boje (1987) — In 2009, Tom works for Bergmann Associates Engineers as a program manager for Sunoco Retail Construction. According to Tom, "... even though I didn't get a job in the physics field, the problem solving skills that I learned helped me tremendously- from managing convenience stores and people to construction projects."
David Loffredo (1987) — Graduated in physics and information systems management. David got a Ph.D. at Rensselaer in Computer Science in 1998. One of the co-founders of STEP Tools, Inc., Dave serves as Vice President of Product Development at STEP. Dave works closely with the International Standards Organization to develop standards for CNC machinery, file exchange, GD&T and C/C++ implementation

Keith Kowalski (1986) — Recieved a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from SUNY at Stony Brook and is now President of Flame Spray Industries. Keith won the 2009 Intellectual Property Owner's Inventor of the Year award for Plasma Transferred Wire Arc apparatus and method, which allows car manufacturers to deposit molten metal coating to the inside of engine cylinders.

Chi Poon (Eddie) Tam (1984) — Eddie graduated with a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Penn State in 1990.
Forrest Thomson (1982) — Graduated with a degree in physics and accepted a civil service position within the Department of the Navy (DON) at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC).
William Denson (1980) — Now a Senior Engineer for IIT Research Institute and is currently assigned to The Reliability Analysis Center in Rome, N.Y.

William Hultman (1973) — Recieved a B.S. in Physics from Buffalo State, M.S. in Statistics from Rutgers and a JD from the SUNY School of Law at Buffalo. Admitted to the NY Bar in 1978. Most recently, William was CFO of MERS, a utility for the real estate industry.
Michael D. Freedman, M.D., FACP, FCP (1969) — Graduated with a physics degree and went to medical school. Most recently has taught at Johns Hopkins University College of Medicine and its affiliate, Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, where he was an Assistant Attending Professor in the Department of Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine, and an Attending Physician at the New Children's Hospital of Baltimore and Center for Reconstructive Surgery.
Eugene P. Covelli (1968) — Graduated with a physics degree and became Chairman of Erie Community College North Campus Physics and Engineering Science Departments. He is retired.
