The program has a number of required courses some of which are offered in July/August and others during the Fall and Spring semesters.
The summer courses are PHY510 which is offered in July each year and PHY620/PHY622 which are offered in alternate years in August.
PHY500 is offered in the spring semester. Once PHY500 has been completed the student does a master’s project in PHY690.
In addition to the required courses above there are nine credits of electives from:
PHY518, PHY520, PHY525, SCI527, SCI632, SCI664, and SCI685.
The length of time a student takes to complete the requirements varies greatly depending on the students circumstances. The shortest time is 4 semesters including two summers in which to take PHY620 and PHY622. In general students take the electives over a longer period.
