A celebration of science and math at Buffalo State for high school science and mathematics teachers and students.
The three key parts of the event: Making and demonstration booths where students will be able to make or try out science and math, facility tours, and speakers.
4:30–6:30 p.m.
Making and demonstration booths and facility tours
Science Building Atrium and New Science Building
Making and demonstration booths will be presented by Buffalo State graduate students and Master Teachers from the Western New York area representing all of the sciences and mathematics. Students and teachers will be able to construct and take simple electronic gadgets, air rockets, and other devices. Spectacular hands-on demonstrations include a large hovercraft, liquid nitrogen experiments, and more.
Facility Tours of the new Science Building where students and teachers will be able to see up-close new experiments. Equipment/facilities to be viewed: DNA Sequencing, Confocal Microscope, Electron Microscope, NMR, Planetarium shows, and Single Crystal X ray Crystallography.
Finger foods/soft drinks will be served.
