Dr. David J. Ettestad has been at Buffalo State for over 16 years. He has published papers on computer modelling of turbulence and is currently working on chaos theory. He is writing a paper on the effect of spin on the chaotic path of a billiard ball. Ettestad also has a keen interest in sports and is often seen jogging around the streets of Buffalo. His hobbies include photography and juggling.
Ettestad is the faculty advisor to the Physics Club and to InterVarsity Christian Fellowship at Buffalo State. He is also highly involved in his church on the West Side of Buffalo. In particular he spends two-three hours each week helping to tutor inner city children at the homework club in his church.
